“Don’t be late for the movie, because then you’ll miss me!” Nicole Scherzinger told VH1 News of her part in Men in Black III. That’s not to say she wasn’t thrilled for her first movie role to be in none other than a major blockbuster franchise, especially since she doesn’t feel like she was just a stunt casting. “I auditioned for the role fair and square.”

This isn’t the former Pussycat Doll’s first foray into acting, mind you. “I actually grew up doing theater and my major in college was thea-TRE,” she said, with dramatic flare. “But I have a whole new respect, because I’m used to being onstage — doing film is a lot different.”

Nicole, if these faces you made for us are any indication, you should be onscreen a whole lot more:

From what we can tell, David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis is not the side-splitting comedy of the summer. And yet, the photos coming out of the photocall and premiere of the film at Cannes make it seem like the fest’s funniest event yet. Maybe that’s due to star Robert Pattinson’s relentless red-carpet face-making. Or due to the fact that it was pouring at the premiere, and the celebrities in attendance, like Julianna Margulies, could do nothing but laugh at how drenched their gorgeous gowns were getting.

Other random celebs mugging for the cameras at the premiere included Cuba Gooding Jr., Bonnie Wright and Kelly Rutherford. Model Natasha Poly showed the most daring amount of skin at the event, but she had a surprising rival in the side-boob game: none other than Kristen Stewart, in a plunging red Reem Acra stunner. She arrived ahead of her boyfriend and was instead on the arm of pal (and her On the Road co-star) Tom Sturridge.

Sorry, Bravo, that we haven’t been tuning in for Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding. It’s just, well, the name instantly puts Kim Zolciak’s godawful “song” in our heads. Which, we know, is exactly the point. Anyway, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star’s wedding planning spin-off certainly caught our attention this week, when the 34-year-old decided on a clever gift for her fiance, Atlanta Falcons defensive end Kroy Biermann: getting his football jersey painted on her naked torso for a sexy photo shoot. This is actually way sweeter and more personalized than mere lingerie, don’t you think? Also, weirder.

Anyway, the photos got us thinking about all the other lovely ladies who’ve been using their bodies as canvases of late — though actually, for not as sweet reasons. Rihanna did it for her recent “Where Have You Been” video. Heidi Klum did it for an Astor ad. Ashley Greene did it for Sobe. (None of them went for the same wrinkly shirt illusion as Kim, either, by the way.) Which is your favorite look?

We already knew that pen pals Beyonce and Michelle Obama admire each other. Bey penned that open letter to the first lady, praising how “No matter the pressure and stress of being under the microscope – she’s humble, loving and sincere. She builds and nurtures her family, while also looking out for so many millions in so many ways.” And Obama responded via Twitter, “Thank you for the beautiful letter and for being a role model who kids everywhere can look up to. –mo.” But the mutual admiration society for these two icons was far from over. In the latest issue of People, Mrs. O takes it one step further.

Asked if she could be anyone else but herself, Michelle responded: “Gosh, if I had some gift, I’d be Beyonce. I’d be some great singer,” she said. “The power of music, being able to play an instrument. … It looks like musicians just have the most fun.”

There you have it, Michelle Obama is just like us. Not that we think being either fabulous lady is a walk in the park. Just look at the videos Beyonce posted on her site of herself preparing for this weekend’s performances in Atlantic City. It also reinforces our theory that Bey was not, in fact, snubbing Kim Kardashian by not attending parties in London and Cannes this week. The woman has work to do!

Beauty is a recurring theme through out Snow White and the Huntsman — both with the Queen’s obsession with her youthful looks and Snow White’s benevolent heart. Not to mention, the cast is really easy on the eyes. (I like my Hemsworth with a side of Hemsworth and a little bit of Hemsworth on top … you know what I mean?) I asked Kristen Stewart about her thoughts on what makes people truly beautiful, and she offered up a thoughtful answer about how genuine beauty shines through one’s physical attributes, regardless of what they are. “I meet people all the time that I think are so gorgeous,” she says. “And then it’s like ‘Oh my God, you’re wearing a costume.’ ”

My personal favorite part of the interview is the adorable hand over heart gesture she does at the end. What would a Kristen Stewart interview be without her busting out a goofy/sincere/precious move like that? Awwww.

We always have such high hopes for the annual amfAR “Cinema Against AIDS” gala that happens at Cannes. It’s normally a fashion extravaganza and there’s always a celebrity or two who ends up surprising us. This year, some of the picks on this list did surprise us. Because our regular sartorial favorites — like Nina Dobrev (who fell short in an electric blue, sequined Elie Saab column) — didn’t make it, and Kim Kardashian did. Still, we have to give props where they’re due and Kim worked it in this mustard Elie Saab and old Hollywood red lips, The color is perfect against her skin tone, the fit is great and even though the girls and the gams are out to play, it’s still all very tastefully done.

The models also really stood out with Doutzen Kroes wearing a futuristic and very flattering white Versace gown with silver detailing. Irina Shayk was sheer elegance in a sweeping, taupe Roberto Cavalli gown with gorgeous emerald jewelry. Also spotted look their very best were Kylie Minogue in tangerine Emilio Pucci and Rose McGowan who paid homage to her name in a rose-pink Atelier Versace gown with Chopard jewels. Bar Refaeli topped the Maxim 2012 Hot 100 list and we listed 30 steamy reasons why she deserved that honor. In keeping with tradition, where there’s a “Hot 100 List” there must be a Hot 100 party. And there was one, but we were a little disappointed by the turn out. The Maxim bash took place at the Dream Downtown in New York last night and Bar held court in a black jumpsuit with a keyhole neckline. But not many other celebrities turned up on the red carpet. None of the top 10 were there. Instead, folks like Makim Chmerkovskiy and his brother Valentin showed up. So did Lance Bass, who, surprise surprise, got another guest pretty worked up, but in a totally fangirl way.

Spotted after a long time, was Jenni “JWoww” Farley in a tight, lowcut black dress, red extensions and rakish black boots. Where ya been, Jenni? The Jersey Shore star tweeted a picture with Bass from the event, which got her gal-pal and co-star Snooki all hot and bothered. Snooki tweeted JWoww immediately, saying, “Your such a w—e I’ve loved him since N*sync. Don’t talk to me.” Could JWoww be working it more than Bar? We demand a recount!

The sage advice of ex-judge, Nicole Scherzinger to Britney Spears for her new role as X Factor arbiter was to, “Speak from your heart. Just be you.” Our Brit-Brit seems to be doing just that quite admirably. Y’all know that the first round of auditions happened yesterday in Austin, right? The singer looked pretty prepared as she was photographed heading to the set in a hot coral mini that we orgininally though to be Herve Leger, but actually was a Brian Lichtenberg number. But a severe case of dramatitis seems to have struck on this debut effort already. Apparently, one contestant rocked up and decided to impress Britney by singing her song “Hold It Against Me.” But the story is that they were so bad and so desperately tone-deaf, that Ms. Spears actually got upset and walked off the set! How is that for a first day fracas?

There’s another side to the matter, though. There are certain sources who are saying that this whole thing is being blown out of proportion because Britney wasn’t upset at all and that she only “just took a short break.” Right, so it was just a case of her timing being impeccable? Britney herself got on twitter to address that issue and corroborated the sources, tweeting, “#Britneywalksoff??? LOL was just taking a little break people. I am having the BEST time!!!” Either way, contestants performed to just L.A. Reid, Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato for a couple of songs ’till La Spears returned. This show’s going to be fun — we can feel it!

Every day we get closer and closer to a legitimate Lindsay Lohan comeback. We can feel it in our bones. Fueling that pleasant inter-bone feeling is the casting of True Blood werewolf Grant Bowler as Richard Burton in Lilo’s upcoming Elizabeth Taylor biopic Liz & Dick. That True Blood cred is making us feel like this made-for-tv movie is going to get made, though to be fair John Travolta was cast in that ill-fated Gotti biopic Lindsay was attached to last year. On the other hand, Liz & Dick is Lifetime! And isn’t also rumored to star a Kardashian!

Bowler also appeared in Lost, GCB and, most importantly, Ugly Betty, where he started as Wilhelmina’s insanely charming on-again, off-again lovah Connor. “Grant will add gravitas to our couple and bring to life one of the greatest actors who has ever lived,” executive producer Larry A. Thompson gushed to Deadline. “Burton was a Welsh poet, a rascal, and a man’s man, who swept Elizabeth Taylor off her feet and flew her so close to the sun that they both exploded into stardust that still lights up Hollywood.” Okay, okay, let’s not get too crazy here. Shooting hasn’t actually started yet and there is plenty of time for Lindsay’s weave to get caught in an escalator or for Grant to OD on fake blood or some such horror.

It’s not that we want Trey Songz and Rob Kardashian to suffer the agony of red, raw cheeks and a bruise ego. It’s just that no one gets in slap fights anymore! No one! After hitting their peak alongside the dueling craze, slap fighting has really dwindled down to a few middle school-related incidents. Unless you believe MediaTakeout, that is, who report that Songz slapped Kardashian after Rob’s camera crew took over the VIP section in London club Movida. According to the site’s source, having been ousted by the likes of Scott Disick and the key grip, “Trey went over and told them to ‘Get the f— out.’ Rob thought [Trey] was joking so he stood up and tried to talk, that’s when [Trey] slapped him in the face hard.” Hey, it could have been a lot worse! No, literally any other hand configuration would have been worse.

After the singer smacked him, apparently “Rob told everyone ‘Let’s go’ and they all left.” A representative of the club later allegedly claimed, “Trey Songz is the bane of my life. He’s just shown up with his crew, taken over the Kardashian table, and ran Rob and Scott out of the club. He wasn’t even invited.” The bane of your life? Uh oh, Trey. Those sound like dueling words. You now what you have to do! Allegedly! Keep your wrist locked tight and slap from the elbow!

Actress Meagan Good may play the sexy side-chick in a lot of her TV and film roles, but in real life she’s the woman that hasn’t had sex in at least a year despite being engaged. Yes, you read that correctly. Per The Insider, Good revealed to Life & Style that her wedding night will be the first time she’s intimate with her producer/preacher fiancé DeVon Franklin. Good said she knew he was the one because of his willingness to become celibate with her for a year. “Our wedding night will be the first time we’re actually together,” said the Think Like A Man and Californication star. Girl, teach us your ways.

Good has publicly vocalized her love for the Lord in countless interviews, and she finally snagged an equally yoked man. She met Franklin while filming last year’s Jumping the Broom. “He loves God, more than I love God, so I don’t think there’s anything wrong [with him],” she told the magazine. Well, amen, honey. The 30-year-old beautiful bride to be has already picked out a venue for the wedding, which she hopes for a Twilight theme. “We found the venue, which I’m really excited about, and it’s going to be in Malibu,” she said. “I know I want to go for a bayou-themed kind of Spanish mosque, a very enchanted-y Twilight feel.”

We can’t wait to see the pictures of the two of them jumping the broom. But what we’re really interested in is if the honeymoon included mind blowing…intimacy. We expect a lot of knockin’ boots to occur. You know, to make up for that long, long year.

Men In Black III hits theaters tomorrow, and director Barry Sonnenfeld could not be more thrilled…with how crazy successful he helped Will Smith become. “I’m so excited that I get to bring Will back to the big screen after four years of not being in the theaters,” Sonnenfeld gushed at the film’s premiere, reminiscing about the young actor he hired for the first MIB back in 1997. “In fact, we cast him from Fresh Prince. He hadn’t been in Independence Day or anything.” Joked Sonnenfeld, “I think Will Smith pretty much owes me his career.” The Hancock actor might not agree with the “entire career” part, but Smith definitely recognizes the films’ influence on his mega-stardom. “He hooked me up pretty good,” Will admitted. “This franchise is probably hands down the biggest franchaise of my career.” Laughs Smith, “I owe him a little bit. I’ll give him his props.”

Just a little bit, Will? Because after revisiting some of your early parts, we understand it if you constantly had Barry Sonnenfeld in a teary bear hug. Yes, we know Will’s break-out TV role was in Fresh Prince, but when it came to Smith’s film career, those early roles were a…lot less memorable roles. Homeless wheelchair-bound runway, anyone? Gay conman? Check them out for yourself, and ponder where Big Willie’s career would be if he had never put on that black suit to begin with:

Made In America (1993): Of course there’s nothing wrong with playing a wacky boyfriend named “Tea Cake” in a sperm donation comedy. It just does not an international megastar make.

Six Degrees Of Separation (1993): Neither does playing a charismatic con artist who seduces Heather Graham‘s boyfriend…and a host of other young uppercrusty gentleman. May will live in that world someday soon!

Where The Day Takes You (1992): Will Smith’s first feature film role! He plays a physically disabled homeless teen named Manny who gets beaten mercilessly to establish a plot point! Yeah, we’d say he’s come a long. Big ups to Barry, ya’ll!

Christopher Nolan‘s Dark Knight movies take their titles very literally, don’t they? We had to adjust our monitors just to see the new TV spots from The Dark Knight Rises. But there was a bit of light in both of them: Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne has a bit of banter with Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman) and Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway) and almost smiles a couple of times. You can’t blame the guy for frowning most of the time; he feels like the fate of Gotham weighs on his shoulders.

That reminds us of another time the fate of a city weighed on Bale’s shoulders … that time he formed a union of scrappy newsboys to fight Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst. Then, at least, Jack Kelly knew how to smile while fighting evil. But here are five signs we think Batman might still remember everything he learned as the Cowboy.

1. When the going gets rough, everyone appreciates a cheesy joke: “How’d you sleep, Jack?” “On me back.” (Did any of us ever realize how homoerotic this entire opening “Carrying the Banner” scene of the movie is?) When Lucius Fox asks Bruce Wayne, “Do you remember where you parked?” he actually raises his eyebrows in good humor.

2. Don’t underestimate the advice of a friend. “Pulitzer and Hearst have to respect the rights of the working boys of New York!” Also, don’t ever use that terrible fake New York accent again.


3. “And the World will know! And the Journal too…” And really, standing atop monuments is an excellent way to get your point across.

4. Fight for what’s yours — be it working wages or the Batmobile Selena just borrowed.

5. Nobbin’ with all the muckety mucks

And so it begins. Britney Spears showed up to her first day of work as an X Factor judge today, armed with a hot pink mini dress and bizarre fiance/conservator combo Jason Trawick. Despite rumors of nerves, she looked confident and composed as she made her way to the first round of auditions in Austin this afternoon. In fact, we think she looks great! Looks like fellow reality judge Howard Stern isn’t going to get the train-wreck he was hoping for.

Maybe Brit got a call from former X Factor judge (and Pussycat Doll) Nicole Scherzinger! Our very own Janell Snowdon recently caught up with the lovely Nicole, and the singer offered some soothing words on how Britney and Demi Lovato can make the most of their time on the show. “Speak from your heart,” she says. “Just be you. We interrupt today’s regularly scheduled Robert Pattinson/Kristen Stewart canoodling enjoyment and On the Road/Cosmopolis Cannes promotion to bring you this special bulletin: Twilight still exists. Just in case you forgot. Summit Entertainment was possibly worried about that, again, and picked today, as soon as we’d awoken from those comas caused by said canoodling footage, to reveal three new character posters for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, via a fansite scavenger hunt.

They are pretty. We love the dark mood, and the way Edward, Bella and Jacob all look poised for battle with their uber-intense glares. But, like those first image released last month, this is just a huge tease that’s not showing us anything new. Remind us of this complaint when we start to whine later this year that we’re getting too many Breaking Dawn photos. Just kidding. We’d never complain about such a thing. Just keep ‘em coming, Summit.

If the puppy-on-baby love doesn’t get you, the tiny spacesuit will. We readily admit to being big cry babies; put a dog, toddler and/or elderly person in a car commercial and we are on the floor, wracked with sobs. As such, hearing Charlize Theron talk about adopting her infant son Jackson had actual tears of adorableness sliding down our faces onto our keyboards. The sweetest things the the Snow White And The Huntsman star said of becoming a new family include:

• On her canine companions: “This was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever witnessed. From the moment this baby came into our home, those two dogs have never been more in love.”
• On the lengthy adoption process: “My mom said the most beautiful thing. I’m going to cry. She said, “It took me nine months to fall in love with you while you were growing in my stomach; it took you two years to fall in love with this little baby.”
• On being a mom: “It feels exactly like it’s supposed to feel. I don’t know how to describe it. It just feels right.”

On, and then Ellen gives Charlize a little space exploration suit for Jackson to wear in honor of her upcoming sci-fi thriller Prometheus. Good thing we put this dog bed under our desk to curl up and sob on. All of Cannes is abuzz about Nicole Kidman’s amazing performance in Lee Daniels‘ The Paperboy, which screened earlier today. We were already onboard with the flick after Zac Efron said filming sex scenes with Kidman were “the highlight of my life.” But now that the folks at Vulture have spoiled one key crazy part of the movie (which, they say, is full of crazy), we are both eager and apprehensive. Here’s their description: “Nicole Kidman looms over a supine Zac Efron, cries out, ‘If anyone’s gonna pee on him, it’s gonna be me,’ and then squirts an impressive stream of urine onto the High School Musical star’s face and bare chest.”

Sorry, pervs, it is not a weird sex scene that inspires this golden shower, but a jellyfish attack on Zac. And now, all we can picture is the Friends episode, “The One With the Jellyfish.”

Incidentally, WebMD does not recommend urinating on someone to relieve jellyfish stings. Instead, you’re supposed to use saltwater.

Well, those of us who are not so into sexy peeing, do have a lot of other sexiness to look forward to in The Paperboy, which is about brothers (played by Efron and Matthew McConaughey) attempting to prove the innocence of a death row inmate (John Cusack), who happens to have a very hot penpal (Kidman). It takes place in Florida in 1969, and all that hot weather prompts our favorite condom-dropping bra expert to be quite scantily clad. We absolutely adore how Daniels rationalized this directorial decision:

“He’s good looking, the camera can’t help but love him. … And I’m a gay man, you know!”

The Robsten fans of the world are no doubt in diabetic comas already this morning after seeing the unbelievably sweet footage of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart at the afterparty for On the Road’s Cannes premiere. French website 20Minute.Fr caught the couple canoodling (we can’t believe we just used that word, but no other word so perfectly describes their activity) on a balcony at the Magic Garden Club. Was ever a place so aptly named? And sure, we’ve seen snapshots of them kissing before — and um, there’s the entire first half of Breaking Dawn, Part 1 — and Kristen has finally started to let the word “boyfriend” slip her mouth. But something about the interaction we see here surpasses all of that. It will probably induce squees in non-Robsten fans.

You can see for yourself what happens, but we’ll recap it anyway, just for fun: Rob puts his arms around KStew and sways her back and forth; she whispers something in his ear; he puts his hands on her shoulders and shakes his head and her body in an exaggerated “no”; then he puts his arms down, makes one of his signature silly faces, and does a very silly dance. We love how the camera man lets out a very French “Mmmmm” as Rob leans forward and kisses Kristen. Then he pulls away and kisses her hand before resting his forehead on her shoulder as she scratches the back of his head. What we would give to find out what this conversation was about!

We’re always drawn to the Cannes Film Festival for the glamour it represents. Everyone know that it’s as much about fashion as it it is about films, and everyone pulls out their trump cards for this event. Sartorial smarty Nicole Kidman may just have out-matched all the fashion mavens with her ace at The Paperboy photocall, earlier today. The actress appeared in a sublimely simple blood-orange Antonio Berardi shift (the photo on the left), which is so classic and elegant that it hurts our teeth. Paired with deep maroon kitten heels, minimal makeup which showed off her radiant skin and her strawberry-blond hair, Nicole has just climbed to the top of our best-dressed list.

What’s so hilarious is that her co-stars, Matthew McConaughey and Zac Efron — who are no slouches in the wardrobe department, either — look like they can’t believe their eyes. We’re not too surprised that the Zefron looks blown away. We already know how much Zac enjoyed filming his sex scenes with Nicole for the movie. This is a second style win for her in a row at Cannes. The cast met up yesterday as well to talk to Le Grand Journal about the film. They also had dinner together, with Kidman’s husband, Keith Urban, later on the beach, as you can see in the photograph on the right. Nicole wowed in a cream, very ladylike L’Wren Scott dress with a maroon belt. Like we said, she’s owning that best-dressed list and we couldn’t be happier.

While a low-key Kanye West and a not-so-low-key Kim Kardashian partied it up on P.Diddy‘s boat in Cannes the day before yesterday, we were waiting for them to make a bad-ass appearance together sans other celebrities taking the attention away. We love us some Kimye! The couple made their grand entrance at Palm Beach in Cannes, where West was debuting his short film, Cruel Summer, yesterday to a group of approximately 200 people. Jay-Z was in attendance too, as was Kid Cudi, who’s in the film. Beyonce, however, was not. Could that be because of the rumored feud with Kim, we wonder?

But none of the star power with or without could take away from the color-coordinated glory that was Kanye and his best girl. Kim squeezed herself into a pretty low-cut, tiny white and gold Balmain mini-dress. For some strange reason, she decided to wear black boots along with it. If the dress looks familiar to you, it’s because Zoe Saldana wore it to the Miami screeing of Colombiana last year. We put it to a vote then, and most of you loved it and a lot of you were split over it, because of the white train Saldana kept, converting it into a mullet dress. We’re happy Kim detached the excess fabric, but it still looks very tight. Kanye kept it cazh in a cream blazer and T-shirt with jeans. They wore the same outfits as they partied at the Baoli club later at night too. These two are going to take over the world, guys.

Another year, and another season of American Idol has run its course. But before we tell you who the Season 11 winner is, we wanted to discuss who turned up for the results show. As expected, AI alumni swarmed. One of the most famous of this group is Carrie Underwood, who arrived looking super glam in Badgley Mischka along with her husband, Mike Fisher. Jordin Sparks looked lovely in white, along with Jason Derulo. Taylor Hicks, Fantasia, Pia Toscano, Haley Reinhart and a fair few posed on the carpet too. It was a particularly special night for two past Idol-ers. Remember Ace Young and Diana Degarmo? Well, they’ve been dating for some time now, and he actually proposed to her onstage at the show! She said yes, of course. We were also correct in assuming that Rihanna would have dreadlocks while performing, because that’s precisely the look she rocked while singing “Where Have You Been.”

Apart from the American Idol family, a few other familiar faces did pop up as well, to watch. Janice Dickinson, Jane Lynch, Melora Hardin, Chaka Khan, Julianne Hough and Jane Seymour were all spotted. But no matter who was in the audience, the night, quite rightly, belonged to the two final contestants — Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez. Who won the show? New York got a little more steamy yesterday, thanks to these two ladies. You got to love fire-engine red when it’s done right. We’ll start with Nicole Scherzinger on the left, who was attending the Men In Black III premiere in the city. She put on this gorgeous cherry colored Bill Blass dress and added Lorraine Schwartz jewels along with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and a Jimmy Choo clutch. Smart stylist! The fit is just perfect on her, and we’re glad she put on a strappy shoe as opposed to a clunky heel, as many starlets seem to be doing these days. We also love the length, and the halter is elongating that incredible body of hers.

Somewhere in the same city, photographers happened to run into Kelly Rowland leaving her hotel. She’s obviously headed to some sort of event, or a really glamorous date, because will you look at her gown? She’s working it out with that crimson color. This is her shade and she should live in it. The long, open hair adds an even sexier touch and those white ankle-cuff heels seem to be doing all the right things, too. This, in a way, is the longer version of Nicole’s dress. All right, all right, looks like we’re going to see Matthew McConaughey and Minka Kelly in the White House sooner than we thought! You assumed they would be leaders of the free world at some point too, right? In our opinion that would make more sense than their latest roles, seeing as how Shame director Lee Daniels has cast the Killer Joe actor and Fright Night Lights actress as the famous couple in his sprawling historical drama The Butler. The film, starring Forrest Witaker, follows the life of a White House butler who worked under eight different presidents, including John Cusack as Richard Nixon, a casting choice which seems even crazi…actually, no. That still makes a little more sense than putting Minka in a pill box hat. Or McConaughey in a shirt that isn’t held together with tear-away snaps.

Maybe we’re just biased because the last time we saw these two, McConaughey was stripping down in the Magic Mike trailer and Kelly was, well, getting canceled in Charlie’s Angels. We just have a hard time knowing that the film’s John F. Kennedy once played the bongos shirtless and that Jackie O leveled bad guys with a judo chop…though that would be an amazing take on the Kennedys. On one hand, it’s completely historically inaccurate. On other hand…

Yeah, there are definitely ways we could be persuaded. Abraham Lincoln didn’t really fight vampires, did he? No, he did not.

In the 33rd paragraph of a New York Times theater profile of Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons, this little sentence appears: “The Normal Heart resonated with him on a few levels: Mr. Parsons is gay and in a 10-year relationship, and working with an ensemble again onstage was like nourishment, he said.” It’s stated as a simple fact, nestled among observations of how the actor is playing a part made famous by Jimmy Stewart in the Broadway revival of Harvey. But this afternoon, Us Weekly picked up on that little sentence and brought it to everyone’s attention. And sure enough, within an hour, everyone was blogging, “Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory is gay!”

Now, we’re not really obsessed with the personal lives of the stars of the CBS sitcom (though I did once see Johnny Galecki’s penis … in a play!), but all it took was a touch of Google to realize that, um, Parsons has been quietly out for a while. His engagement to long-term boyfriend Todd Spiewak was even rumored in the National Enquirer a couple of years ago. There are even things like this Tumblr devoted to pics of Jim and Todd.

Then again, things like that Tumblr are the only places we could actually find photos of Todd. Which kind of makes us sad. Galecki is always either by himself or with his co-stars on all the red carpet pics we can find. We get the need for privacy, of course. But we hope, like Michael Musto does in this Out story about the “glass closet,” that eventually, no one feels the need to keep their significant others away from the flashbulbs. And that sentences like “Mr. Parsons is gay and in a 10-year relationship” will be as totally unremarkable as that Times writer originally intended it to be.

How did our list of 50 Rihanna Hairstyles get out of date so fast? We just can’t keep up with her stylists! After sporting bleached blond locks for most of the spring, Rihanna last switched up her hairstyle with a half-shaved head two months ago, a period of time that translates into 5,000 years for regular people hairdos. Not immediately adding Rihanna’s brand new dreads, which the singer posted to Instagram today, is a disservice to everyone as obsessed with her ever-mutating hotness as we are, and for that we apologize. But also? You’re welcome for keeping you abreast of all late-breaking RiRi beauty updates.

“Wake bake shake dem dreads,” RiRi tweeted along with the photo. That doesn’t sound like the best way to get her vocal chords in order to perform at the American Idol finale tonight, but if anyone knows how much sleeping, baking and shaking her larynx can tolerate, it’s RiRi. The “Where Have You Been All My Life?” singer will be singing alongside Aerosmith, Gladys Knight and (you might be able to hear us screaming later) Reba McEntire. Ohhh, obviously RiRi switched up her hair because she wanted a fresh hotness to show Reba. We completely understand. We would have done the exact same thing, given the opportunity.

Mob Wives star Big Ang is renowned for her, shall we say, intriguing appearance. With all the fever pitch surrounding this weekend’s release of Men In Black 3, some are wondering if her frequent trips to the plastic surgeon are a result of her trying to mask her true identity from the Men In Black. Hunger Games hero Josh Hutcherson just shelled out some serious bucks to own the Hollywood Hills “tree house” once owned by the late great Heath Ledger. The 1,861 mansion set him back $2.995 million and boasts 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an outdoor theater nestled in the sycamore trees!

Of course, the 19-year-old isn’t the only teenage multimillionaire that’s got a crib of his own. Justin Bieber just recently spent over $6 million on a massive estate on the outskirts of Los Angeles. Country-pop princess Taylor Swift also has a swanky Beverly Hills home to her name, as do former Disney stars Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato. To quote my boss, “Nooooooo, Joe!” (Only with more Os.) This was a reaction to the news that Paramount has decided to move G.I. Joe: Retaliation from its scheduled June 29 release to March 29, 2013. According to Deadline, this is because the studio would like to convert the whole thing to 3D. Wait, so we will now get to see the bulging biceps of Channing Tatum, Dwayne Johnson, Adrianne Palicki, D.J. Cotrona and Bruce Willis in three dimensions?

The John Chu-directed flick has a better chance of making big bucks overseas with 3D effects added, not to mention Channing Tatum won’t be competing against his own abs, which will be so lovingly displayed in Magic Mike, which is still coming out on June 29.

Ugh, this is just like “Stars Are Blind” all over again. Joining Paris Hilton, Rebecca Black and, well, not so much Kim Kardashian, Heidi Klum debuted a sultry song entitled “Turn Up The Night ” today, whereupon we immediately identified it as the semi-shameful guilty pleasure that it is. We’ve listened to it…a reasonable number of times so far. While the model and Project Runway host might be frolicking half-nude in a tattoos-and-leather-harness wonderland for the song’s video, the part that really made our jaws drop is the fact that Heidi’s vocals are pretty good. This is the kind of song you listen to at the gym or in your car with the windows rolled up, but never let anyone catch you singing along to. The best kind of song, is what we’re saying.

Klum apparently recorded the song and took a spin around the pole in collaboration with Hunger Magazine. According to the Britain’s The Telegraph, Heidi’s single will be just that; she isn’t working on an album or some larger project. Isn’t that the way it should be with these kinds of songs? Seriously, we feel guilty even having you know how much we enjoyed this one song. Now let us never speak of this again.
